More on Jesus Sucking It

So because of Kathy Griffin’s now infamous comments upon receiving her undeserved award, a lot of people are pretty outraged that someone would have the gall to downplay the importance of Jesus in everything that we do. At least one group of Christians has started a petition to get people to not be so sassy about Jesus, because we all know how effective petitiononline.com is and how seriously everyone takes it.
The petition reads:
It’s time for Christians to stand up and say, “Enough is Enough!” The name of Jesus Christ should not be mocked, nor should those who love Him be slandered for their beliefs. It is time for people of faith around the country to stand firm against religious slander, bias, and bigotry of all types including Christianity.
When I read a thing like that, I say to myself: “I have got to get in on that action.” So I added my signature to the petition and left the following comment:
What a great start! The only problem is that this petition doesn’t go far enough! If only we could get people to crusade for even more restrictions on speech, that’d be something. Can you imagine if no one was allowed to speak out against authority figures or religious leaders or anything? Wouldn’t that be great? Only then would we begin to come close to what this great Christian nation is all about!
Of course, before my signature and comment can be added, it has to be approved by the petition author, so I’m sure it won’t make the cut. But now it’s here for all the world to see, and I encourage everyone to leave similar comments. Don’t be disrespectful or vulgar, of course; that’ll be noticed right away. Maybe if enough people subtly stick it to them, some will start to slip through the screening process and make it onto the petition, and then everyone can see what jackasses these people are.
UPDATE! Well, turns out that it’s not too hard to get approval for your comments, because mine surely did get put on the petition, signature number 35083.

I went through all the signatures at the Suckit.com petition, and it appears that neither God nor Jesus signed it.
So Ms. Griffin’s comments must not bother them.
I knew they were Lefties.
